If your work lives in the space between genre and literary, if it moves, carries weight, and has a plot—we want to read it.

Dog Named Dog Press is seeking short fiction and other media for our quarterly publication.

How to Submit

General Guidelines

(for all categories)

Paste your work into the body of the email. Attachments will not be opened unless specifically requested. We understand formatting may be affected.

• One submission at a time. You can submit to multiple categories at a time, but one submission per category per person.

• Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Notify us immediately if accepted elsewhere.

• No bio or credits required. We’ll ask for this if your work is accepted.

• You must fully own the work you submit, and it must not have been previously published.

• We only care about human writing about human experiences. There might be a space somewhere for AI and AI-assisted writing, but it’s not here. The same applies to artwork—we have no desire for AI-generated art or comics.

• Rights: DNDP asks for first serial rights and exclusive rights for one year after publication. After that, rights revert to the author.
